The Green Earth Outdoors Difference
We take your outdoor adventure personal.
Unique Adventures
Green Earth Outdoors is a personal guide service, so each trip is about you (and the environment). No two adventures are alike. Whether it's the accommodations, schedule, activity level, group size, experience level or how much time you can give, we tailor each trip to your specific needs and provide a personal guide to take care of all the details. From exciting mountain expeditions to quiet canoe trips, we have the experience and expertise to take you nearly anywhere in North America-and in many cases to destinations other travel companies do not feature.
Personal Service
From start to finish, you have one point of contact. The person you work with to plan your trip is the same person who will be with you along the trail, on the water or in the mountains. As a personalized guide service, we are with you every step of the way. The reason we do this is simple-to ensure you have the best experience possible. From pre-trip planning until you are on your way home, we are there with you.
Sustainable
Every Green Earth Outdoors adventure is designed to be a fun and memorable experience for your family or group. The only impacts we make are positive ones; on the lives of those who travel with us and on this planet we all call home. We believe in and practice the Principles of Leave No Trace, minimize and offset our carbon emissions and participate in active stewardship towards our ecosystem. To that end, we are proud to say that everything about our business from daily operations to each and every trip is done so with the environment in mind.
A Learning Experience
One of the great things about our world is we are all different. At Green Earth Outdoors, we value the differences we each posses and make every effort to learn and grow from those differences. We have a passion for the outdoors and our mission is to share with you what we know so you too can gain a greater appreciation for the natural world around us. We want to learn from you too. Everyone has something to share, so please join in.
All-inclusive Expeditions
We understand your plate is already full. If you're a parent, youth leader or corporate manager and want a unique program to offer but don't have the time to plan it and arrange the details, we are here for you. From the time you contact us to after you return home, Green Earth Outdoors is there to make your trip go smoothly. Our turnkey service can handle all the details, from your daily itinerary to the food you eat. We take care of every detail of your adventure to ensure a memorable and safe experience. With the exception of your personal items-for which we will provide guidance on what to bring-all you need to do is show up ready for some fun! We'll take care of the rest.
Active or Not, You Decide
Whether you're looking for a relaxing outdoor vacation with plenty of down time or something that will challenge you or your group to reach new heights, Green Earth Outdoors can tailor trips and programs to your specific needs. From placid canoe trips to challenging mountaineering expeditions, our trips are designed to match your desired activity level for a seamless blend of planned activities and freedom.
Choose Your Comfort Level
For some, it not what you do or who you do it with but how you do it that matters. Unlike traditional travel companies where you must comply with their trip accommodations before and after the main adventure activity, with Green Earth Outdoors, you make the call. Whether you want hotdogs over a fire in a campground or elegant dining featuring local culinary specialties and five-star accommodation, we're right there with you.
Experience Not Required
The outdoors is naturally inclusive and open to anyone to enjoy, regardless of your experience level. At Green Earth Outdoors, we understand this and welcome anyone who shares our desire to be outside. Granted, some trips may require certain prerequisite skills and experience, but there isn't much about the outdoors that can't be taught or learned. Our dedication and passion for sharing what we know with others will only make your journey that much more valuable.
Knowledge = Fun
Every Green Earth Outdoors adventure begins with your desire. When you call or submit a Trip Request Form and we call you back, you'll get first-hand knowledge about your destination and activity options. Most likely we've been there, if not, we work directly with people already there who share our passion. From how to prepare and what you will need to bring, we will share with you our knowledge and excitement about the destination or activity you chose. Trust experience!
Giving It Up
Time, there is never enough. But we all have goals and Green Earth Outdoors wants to help you achieve those goals. Whether you have two weeks to give or just two days or something in between, we can put together an adventure that fits your schedule. Getting outside and enjoying the wild is always worth it, so we want to make sure you get what you can and your time is well spent.
Pay it Forward
In addition to the adventure and friendships we make, nothing makes a trip more meaningful than embracing the people and culture of the places we visit. From transportation to accommodations, we make every effort to support local businesses. We want to create a meaningful cultural exchange with the local people and treat them and their community with respect. It not only creates a positive travel environment, but it makes each adventure truly special.
Food For Thought
Every adventure requires food to fuel your ambition. Green Earth Outdoors understands this beyond the molecular level. We bring to every trip our cooking creativity that includes natural and organic options whenever possible. Every participant is surveyed before the trip to understand food choices, allergies, and culinary preferences (vegan, vegetarian, etc.). Good food and creative preparation will add to the entire experience.
Safety
More traffic injuries and fatalities occur on America's highways than through all outdoor activities combined. Regardless, Green Earth Outdoors takes every measure to ensure your safety from start to finish. A trip is only worthwhile if you make it home safely to share it with others. Through proper planning, pre trip communication, managing potential concerns, proper wilderness and medical training/certifications for our guides and trip preparedness, we take proactive and preventative steps to get you there and back in one happy piece.
Why Hire a Personal Guide?
There are lots of reasons to hire a personal guide and probably the best reason is so you have a safe adventure and get the most out of your outdoor experience. Using a personal guide saves time, money and natural resources than that of traditional adventure travel companies. Your personal guide has a passion for the outdoors and knows the success of any guide business is based on their reputation.
Your guide spends over 140 days a year in the backcountry and another 100 days a year either providing training or receiving training to continually add value to your experience. A personal guide will take the time in advance to learn about your goals and structure your trip to meet those goals. A guide allows for your family or group to make the most of your time together during the trip without sacrificing time with details and logistics.
Hiring a guide also lets you stretch your boundaries or see new places in a safe and friendly atmosphere. If you are seeking to visit a new destination for the first time, your guide will make sure you get to see and do the best it has to offer. A guide knows the better seasons, routes, campsites, and other local hidden treasures.
Guides are also excellent teachers and take advantage of learning moments whenever possible. If you want to try a new outdoor activity for the first time, a guide will help you learn the skills to be successful. A personal guide will be a knowledgeable and friendly companion who makes a day spent on the trail or on the water a very memorable and pleasant experience.
